Dear Santa,
Merry Christmas Santa. How are your elves and reindeer? I hope
everyone is ready for the big trip coming soon.
My name is Snoopy and I am almost 3 years old. I am so dookstatic to be writing to you. Some of the other ferrets at the shelter were
dook-dook-dooking at me, because they don’t believe in you. Many of us have some bad memories about
things that happened to us before we were rescued and I think you
just couldn’t find us those bad years. I told all those dooking fuzzies that I will
be
the one really dooking on Christmas Day
when you bring me some special presents.
Santa, I could use a special sleep box so foster mom says that they are
good for strengthening my legs so I can practice doing ferrety things. I also love thick, soft blankets to wrap
myself in while
I dream of getting my own
family.
Since we have cold winters up here, sleep sacs and maybe some cuddle
cups would be nice for the other ferrets in my shelter. could bring some
healthy treats and some small toys but only if you have enough for everyone
else. Our shelter could use some money help since there are over 50 of us to
care for. I will share anything that you
send me.
Thank you so much Santa for helping me
and making my friends believers in magical things.
Snoopy is a special ferret who has
captured the hearts of all who have
met him, cuddled him and heard his sad story. It seems he started his furry
life the hard way......he was the runt of his litter and pushed around by his
siblings. When he was purchased from the pet store, he was abused, starved and
frightened by the new owner before being brought back. A family that
was buying the last of Snoopy's siblings took our
little friend in, saving him from a worse fate. The families' good
intentions gave Snoopy shelter and a companion but that was not enough. He
spent two long years coping with his neurological disabilities as best he
could. For over a year now he's enjoyed special playtimes that
enrich and encourage him to be more like a ferret. He has a special
pen without stairs as stairs leave him behind because he is unable to climb.
Extra special food is available so Snoopy never feels he is starving
again.
Our shelter is a non-profit shelter that depends on the kindness of
individuals like you. Our Vet bill was
in excess of $ 10,000.00 this year and since we are a no-kill facility, our
ferrets get the best care possible for as long as they need it. Please help us
continue caring for all fuzzies who need our care. Thank you in advance for
your help and contributions. Our shelter
has a Paypal account for direct paypal and credit card donations at www.ferretrescue.ca Please note that the P.O Box. Address can
only accept parcels sent by mail and *does not
