Trance: Trance is an older male ferret who had been owned by a lady with a
serious mental disorder. When he came, we seriously wondered if he’d gotten
into her medications, as he seemed literally catatonic. His eyes were open, he
was looking at you, but he wouldn’t move a muscle. The only reaction he’d
give to being picked up was to want to be put down. Then he’d run and hide
and just stare towards you (not really AT you) from his hiding place. Since he
went to live with his foster mom, he’s come out of his shell! Foster mom
reports that not only is he playing and war dancing, but he bites the cage and
shakes it violently when he wants out. We have no intention of moving this
frightened little soul. He’s happy where he is and his foster mom is happy to
have him. He likes 8in1 Skin & Coat Treats, Ferretone, running through tubes
and snuggling up in sleep sacks.
